On May 4, bikers started out on Race Across Italy (RAI). Our coworker, Gábor Takács,undertook the challenge without anyinternational racing experience and finished 15th. He pedaled through a beautiful but difficult terrain with 5365 meters of height difference at an average speed of 30-32 km/h. He trucked along for a day, 8 hours, and 13 minutes. Thanks to the support of Docler Holding and György Gattyán, our colleague was able to enter the Italian race as a first step towards an American challenge. While at RAI, Taki’s team included a masseuse, a photographer, a mechanic, and an assistant. Not only was Docler’s racer the sole Hungarian in the competition, he was also the only one to race on a low category bike. Docler employees congratulated the athlete on his success; his result qualified him for the 4800 kilometer Race Across America.
